How to Enable Shutdown Confirmation in Xiaomi HyperOS & MIUI Devices
This feature only applies to the Chinese ROMs, including the Stable or Beta version of any Global ROMs. Also, we’ve noticed this feature is available only on premium and flagship phones. This feature is not available in lower-end and budget phones.
- Go to the Settings app on your phone,
- Scroll down and tap on the Privacy & Security option there,
- Now go to the Security tab,
- Tap on the Shutdown Confirmation option there,
- Under Shutdown confirmation, toggle it right to turn it on.
- Now enter your current phone’s password (Lockscreen security password) (if),
- That’s it.
Now, after enabling this feature, it will ask the users (you and anyone using this phone) to enter the lock screen password every time they turn off or restart the phone. Only the phone will restart or turn off after entering the password on the lock screen.
Also, as we said, this feature is only partially rolled out to some HyperOS Devices and region-based ROMs. So, if you can’t find such features on your phone, you have to wait for it, and then let’s see.
